Camberley Cricket Club was established in 1944, originally playing home fixtures at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, before moving to its existing home at Upper Verran Road in 1950. Numerous investments and improvements to our ground have been made over the past six decades making this facility one of best in Surrey and the envy of most clubs in the county.
The club has the ambition and resources to be regarded as one of Surrey’s premier cricket clubs, having produced a number of county standard cricketers including former Hampshire, Middlesex and England Spinner, Shaun Udal.
The club fields several teams that enter a variety of competitions;
Alongside this we also have our very own 'Crickets' section whereby we take youngsters between the ages of 5 and 7 for a bespoke 10 week coaching course during the summer months.
We offer ECB level coaching to both our Senior and Colts members throughout the year, professionally run and managed by our Head Coach.
Having invested in the Indoor Nets facility at Kings International College, we are perfectly placed to build upon the infrastructure in place; excellent playing facilities, a new indoor training complex and an ever-increasing number of juniors within our Colts section. To this extend we have a well-planned schedule of coaching sessions through-out the week for our junior members.
This presents us with a great opportunity to establish some long term plans for the future development of the Club and to focus on our now established cricketing “Academy”, in the form of standard Colts training and the “Development of Excellence”. The long term benefits of which, being to attract and develop the best young talent in the area.
Whilst we have a mid to long term plan, Camberley CC is a very ambitious club and is always looking for keen individuals to join. Our immediate objective this year is clear; to recruit and improve upon the comparatively young but talented 1st XI while also building strength in depth to support our longer term vision.
