Selection for Surrey District Cricket

CCC players selected for Surrey District Cricket Squad

Congratulations to both Toby Woodland and Adam Carter for their selection in the Surrey District squads. Both boys have extremely good work ethics and deserve this recognition for the tremendous amount of hard work they have put into their games. Over the next couple of seasons I fully expect these two to continue progressing through the Surrey ranks. I also fully expect to see more and more of our Colts involved in these squads as the coaching plans put in place continue to help all Colts at CCC develop into fantastic young cricketers.’

Toby Woodland

Toby is a young wicket keeper batsman who has already played senior cricket despite only being aged 12. Toby has impressed all involved at CCC with his knowledge and awareness at such a young age. Toby has improved his batting significantly over the past 12 months and I expect to see Toby topping the run charts for his age group around the county. Toby is also an extremely talented keeper who has shown plenty of bravery keeping standing up to even the opening bowlers in his age group. With continued hard work I hope to see Toby push for 2nd team cricket at Camberley in 2013 and all of us at CCC look forward to watching Toby’s progress over the coming seasons.

Adam Carter

Adam is a talented all-rounder who has come on in leaps and bounds in the last 12 months. Adam has worked tirelessly to change some flaws in his bowling action which had limited his bowling ability. Since Adam has re modelled his action he has learnt how to swing the ball both ways at good pace. Alongside his bowling Adam has grown into a technically gifted batsman with a sound technique. Adam was Camberley’s Colts Player of the year in 2012 and if he continues to work as hard at his game in the future he will have a bright future in Surrey Cricket and with CCC.

Once again, we all offer our congratulations to both.
