Following the success of the inaugural Surrey Cricket Board Club Conference in 2014 a date has now been confirmed for the 2015 event ... Sunday 8th March 2015 at the KIA Oval.
The 2014 event saw around 160 delegates from over 70 clubs attend on the day and we would love to see an increase in delegates at the event in 2015.
The day includes a number of Workshops specific to club needs, and there will also be a Marketplace which will give attendees the chance to liaise with each other and share information, as well as meeting cricket specific companies to take advantage of their fantastic offers. As a 2014 participant noted ‘(the conference was an) excellent networking opportunity and very useful to hear how other clubs overcome similar hurdles to the ones we face’.
We are currently in the process of identifying and arranging the workshops for the 2015 conference, and these will be chosen in line both with feedback from last year’s event, but also specified to the wants and needs identified from club development plans, so there will be plenty of ideas and information for all to pick up on during the day.
The 2014 event was the first conference held by Surrey Cricket and the feedback received was extremely positive and we hope that the 2015 event will be a similar success. As a club indicated the 2014 conference was ‘well structured and relevant to club cricket so we can take away a few key points to implement into our club’, so please save the date and ensure that your club is represented at the event.
The booking process for 2015 is currently being streamlined, once this has been finalised this will be distributed to all contacts, as well as being published on this website, for now please can I ask you all to save the date and we hope to see you at the conference on Sunday 8th March 2015.
